your thoughts on recips?

Does anyone make freesites with recips on index and main page.

For example,

8 on each page? Just curious if that would be frowned upon by most LL's?

Any thoughts?

I think most put them on one or the other - I rarley see recips on both pages.

I wouldn't do it that way. Some sites want to be on the index and you never know who wants to be where in cases like that. I'd just make two entrances into a site. It's safer and keeps the traffic leaks out of your main page hopefully sending more hits to your hub.

I like my recips on the warning page and hate seeing recips on the main page.

IMO you are hurting yourself sales wise by putting recips on your main page, save it for your ads. Actually my main page is on of the top pages for sales when I go through my stats.

My first couple years in the biz I used the main page exclusively, the index pages were banner farms at that time. Then in late '98 I started moving them to the index page, banner farms were losing effect.

I still occasionally use the main page, only with LL's I know that allow them.

Ok, Thanks for the replies everyone. I use the index / warning page only, but since I don't mirror my sites, I was just looking for a way to get more LL's per freesite.
