What's your prefered forum "script" ???

I like vbulletin (this one, for those who don't know) but don't want to have to pay for each "instance" of it that I decide to use on a single domain. I'm splitting a domain into 3 separate areas, requiring 3 forums on same domain, and see no reason to pay $160 3 times for the privaledge.

Are there any decent alternatives? Or will I have to bite the bullet?

p.s While I'm "almost ranting" where do people get off charging several times for the SAME script running on the SAME domain. Is this bizarre, or just me missing some fucking thing??
