Sleepy 10-Sunday13-2013

Afternoon!

I've been working since I rolled out of bed around 5:30. Well, until about 45 min ago when I put on my Fantasy Football Hat

Now it's time for some football and maybe some more work

Good Day
Worked my ass off yesterday finishing up the walkway with cement work and stuff. When done my neck was in a lot of pain and a tingly left hand which is still the same way today thou a bit less. So I must of pinched a nerve and will try to see my chiropractor tomorrow because I a due for a crack up anyways.

Today it's family and football, especially my wife's beloved 49ers

Until then I am just trying to squeeze in a bunch of work.

The joys of owning a house... Our water bill has gone up about $30 a month so we shut off all the water in the house and watched the little pinwheel on the water meter and saw that it is moving very slowly. So now we have to figure out what is leaking. All ready checked everything in the house and nothing so I guess it is a pipe under the ground. No idea how to find the leak other than to start doing a whole lot of digging.

There are services that will find underground water leaks so you know where to dig to fix it. They're often affiliated with pool maintenance services.

Yeah I used a service back when I first bought this house 30 years ago. That leak was under the house on the main line coming in and they had to dig a tunnel under the house to fix it. It was a big leak. I know it isn't that pipe this time because when I shut the main off to the house the meter stopped moving. It cost me thousands at the time so going to try to find it myself.

It's such a slow leak, like less than a gallon an hour, if that. Not sure they will be able to find something like that.

Good evening,

It's been raining here for the past 24 hours. I stayed in all day and burned a bunch of wood in our fireplace since the max temperature was 8°C/46°F today.
Time to start the evening routine with putting the kids in bath/bed and after that it's fastfood time

Have a good day all!

This has been an awesome autumn sunday with good temperature and sunny sky.
What's then better than relaxing in bed with a huge Carl Barks book :-p

Good afternoon.

My commerically bought NAS box that I use at home can't rsync with my new cloud server. As a result, I've decided to make my own home server / NAS box using FreeNAS. That means I am doing a bit of on-line shopping today. I've got a motherboard so I am looking for some 2tb drives, memory and a case.

Other than that, I am paying some bills and watching TV.

Have a good one!

How long did it take you to realize the leak is somewhere between the meter & the main shutoff valve?

Me too! I never watched it, so I started from the beginning. I'm somewhere in Season 3 I think
