Window's will fall from 90 percent today to 58 percent by 2007

IDC: Consolidation to Windows won't happen

"Microsoft currently has around 90 percent share of the client operating system market with Windows but this will fall to 58 percent by 2007 as new devices increasingly appear, Saxena said at the IDC Directions conference here Thursday."

It's kind of comforting to know that a realworld business making tangible goods like furniture can make so much money... I'd prefer to see someone like Ikea guy at #1 over an Oil Sheik, Media Tycoon or a Banker.
