The Who

Just watching The Who live at the Isle Of Wight 2004. I love The Who. So many great songs.

It saddens me that PT has stupidly allowed himself to be tarred with the CP brush. I don't believe he's a threat to kids (unlike Garry Fucking Glitter) but the subject of CP has obviously been a theme throughout his life (he claims he was abused as a child, and Wicked Uncle Ernie on Tommy is clearly a portrayal of a classsic predatory paedo).

I like Pete Townshend and I'd like to see him cleared of this terrible burden.

How do you all feel about him?

Maybe his case has been in the news more up there and I dont know the details... but I was happy to believe his "researching" story.

I'm a huge Who Fan; PT is one of the greatest Musicians that ever lived. This whole CP thing made me sick to my stomach. He fucked up huge time and should have known better.

I was too young to see them Live until the last tour, 3 weeks after Ox Died.

It was still the greatest concert I ever seen. They played Baba O’reilly for 20 mins and a few hundred of us jumped and danced it all away in the aisle next to the stage. Rodger told us all it's been a long time since they seen that happen.

A night I didn’t want to end and still get goose bumps thinking of it. It was also the last concert I've seen. After all, who can top that?

Honestly, I may be wrong but I think no charges were filed, he admitted to it, but that’s as far as it went.

Once more I MAY BE WRONG

I don’t know much about the stories and all I’ll ever read about it is what the news wires decide to write and as GG points out, innocence isn’t news … not unless a riot starts in LA because of it.

Pete is one of the greatest musicians of all time and The Who is truly an amazing band that started more then one trend that spawned a few eras of music. I’ve only seen them twice, once when the original band was alive and the athleticism and energy of these old guys that many were starting to consider over the hill blew me away both times.

How do I feel about PT? The man is a genius, a remarkable talent and damn fine athlete. He’s also innocent until proven guilty. I would be heart broken if any thing is proven.

The Who is the best rock band in the whole wide world.

Who's Next was one of the first albums I ever bought. Townshend's way to play guitar has always amazed me and I have spent hours and hours trying to play like him. My poor Fenders...

Moon was the best drummer ever. Just listen the last minutes of Won't Get Fooled Again...dynamite...

My all time favourite Who song is of course Behind Blue Eyes, which I have been playing myself thousands of times.

Couple of years ago I was lucky to find Kids Are Allright movie in DVD. That plays regularly in big screen - in our home theater - and in my PC. Now I try to find Quadrophenia. I have been waiting for European release, but haven't seen it yet.

Maximum R&B!

I first listened to that record 2 months ago. I was very surprised to find all those great songs on it. "Behind blue eyes" is much better than that limp bizkit cover...

get a region free PAL/NTSC DVD player. I cannot live without mine. I can watch all those Japanese Anime DVD's that never get made for the US market
