Problem with saving pictures

I have this little problem. When I try to save sponsorbanners to my harddisk I usually kust clicked the right mouse butto and chose "Save picture as..." and then I could save the .gif or .jpg file like anyone else.

Now with some sites I can only save the picture as a .bmp file with the default name "untitled". So if I store an animated banner and I go look at it it's stored as a bmp file with just 1 frame of the animation.. pretty useless..

anyone knows how I can fix this?
I use WinXp and IE 6.0

Clear your IE temp internet files and then set your IE cache to < 88 MB

What DD said

or do the right click choose “save as” and rename them before clicking "save", when I used banners I use to rename them to the project all the time. Who would want two totally different banners from two different sponsors with one letter or number different in a directory with dozens of others?

Hey Fonz,

I had the same trouble with one sponsor and tried both above suggestions but it didn't help

In the end the easiest way I could get the banners in their proper format was to download them with a download manager like DAP
