Attorney General Nominee Gonzales' Stepson Connected to Hustler TV

I saw this in my daily newsletter from AVN & thought it was kinda funny

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The stepson of Attorney General nominee Alberto Gonzales worked for a short time as a consultant for LFP Broadcasting, a relationship he severed after President Bush nominated Gonzales as a replacement for outgoing Attorney General John Ashcroft.

According to Michael H. Klein, the executive vice president of Hustler TV, John Freeze, Gonzales’ twenty-something stepson, was hired as a consultant to work on the Web site for Hustler TV. Freeze was only working on the Web site for a matter of weeks before tendering his resignation.

“We didn’t know who he was related to. They have different last names, so there was no reason to even think about it,” Klein told AVN.com, “He was just someone we hired on a freelance basis that was developing the Hustler TV Web site.

“He wasn’t even here long enough to get a paycheck,” Klein added.

Klein says that Freeze, who has worked on a number of mainstream entertainment Web sites, was referred to them. “It was just a job, just like any other.”

Larry Flynt, the normally outspoken anti-Bush founder of LFP, has said that Freeze’s work for Hustler TV should have no bearing on Gonzales’ nomination for attorney general.

The national media barely even touched upon the story when Freeze short-term relation to LFP Broadcasting was leaked in December.

The Senate Judiciary Committee apparently agrees: the issue wasn’t raised at Gonzales’ confirmation hearings earlier this month.

Gonzales’ should be approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, and confirmed as the new Attorney General by the Senate the week after.
