Know anyone at Perfect Gonzo?

I don't know why I care so much when people don't take my advice on HFS's

Perfect Gonzo released some yesterday & they STINK! So I emailed them:

No offense, but these Hosted Free Site's suck

My suggestion is to have whoever is building these read thru these 2 threads:

We looked at all other sponsors that provided freehost galleries. We feel that our galleries are 100x better than the competition. I can show you some examples which I'm sure you'll agree are disastrous. I'm sure however, that you have many submitters that design fantastic galleries and we do not really compete with those guys.

Anyway, I'll go through those suggestions and tell our designers about them in order to impletment them in the next set of freesites.

Just one more thing. I wanted to check if you didn't actually confused the attached galleries with the freesites. Did you login to the freesites search and look at the freesites? Because the links attached to the email were actually galleries as part of the gallery notification and not freesites.

I am aware who you are and about your experience in Adult esp the Free site area. I was surprised about your comment "these Hosted Free Site's suck" so I actually went ahead and read those threads.

As I mentioned in the Support ticket, that the things I see 'wrong' with our freesites are (a) they do not have a unique title and (b) we use the same layouts with minor difference for each websites' freesite batch. Having said that since we released 60 of them, you could use 6 of them if you truly want unique designs/colors/names.

If those two points make them 'suck' well I guess they suck

While I do find it funny as well, wonder if there's any chance that could've just thought it was just another webmaster calling himself "Greenguy", in order to get special treatment? Just something that occured to me, they may not have checked the domain the e-mail originated from or anything.

Eman, just checked those. For the pic galleries, you might wanna add in more join links, aside from the linked header. That one's easily scrolled past and thus easily missed.

The reason for my comment about "if you didn't actually confused the attached galleries", is that the notice about our new freesites feature was actually sent out in the body of the Hosted Gallery Notification emails. This email which actually had some 30 Moregonzo galleries attached to it. Our Moregonzo galleries are quite complex http://galleries.moregonzo.com/133/0...9/n/index.html thus I thought Greenguy might have thought we are a really crazy program trying to pass off hosted galleries as freesites.

Haha, I guess your reaction was motivated too, since there are so many programs out there, whose owners barely know enough about this business in order to be webmasters...

The 2 biggest problems that Link List owners have with HFS's are the lack of titles & templates.

You have to remember that Link Lists are different from TGP's - every site we link to has a unique title as well as a description (where TGP's usually just link to the galleries with 3 or 4 niche keywords)

It's up to you guys - I just wanted to give you some advice because those HFS's do suck (I'm betting they were built by someone that's specialized in TGP galleries & have never built a free site that was listed by a link list in their life) and there's not a lot of Link Lists that will list them, which pretty much makes it a waste of time & money on your part - and in the end, it'll make you think that HFS's are not worth it because no one is using them.

PS - sorry I started this thread - it just seemed like your replies to me & the constant mentioning of galleries made me think you thought I was some kook
