Have you guys seen this happening?
Since I can't get past learning how to use wordpress, I have yet to make a blog.
![]() http://searchengineland.com/061229-133230.php Boing Boing had a consolidated post on this, about how on December 27, a number of sex blogs suffered various ranking drops. These weren't spam sex blogs. These were quality blogs that had apparently enjoyed pretty stable rankings in Google. |

Yes, and whenever Google reacts there are always unintended and/or unanticipated side effects.

![]() It drives me nuts when I see speculation over Google deliberately filtering out or decreasing the value of porn. What purpose would there be to do that for someone who as gone out there way to turn "SafeSearch" off? It's in G's best interest to produce the finest results possible for whatever someone searches for. The beast called Google is always evolving, so the search results will naturally change along the way. And, as Toby said, there are always unanticipated effects when G toys with their spam filtering algorithm(s).

Oh no, I'm sweating like Roger Ebert

Actually what struck me was that the people affected acted as if Google owed them the rating and the traffic they were recieving. That attitude just pisses me off!
I think it's totally wrong of Google to not list anything with The Walrus first in its searchs and if they don't they are ruining my business |
