Guest Posts
Hi
Someone contacted me asking for a guest post from one of my sites. and 2 links. I have never done one before, or heard of them lol. They have an alexa traffic rank of 6800 so it could be good for my site! Any pointers on how much to charge, what do I put in (is it like a review) and roughly how long it should be? Looked it up on google, but didn't find that info, just that it is a new way of getting backlinks etc Thanks |

I have been offered up to 250$ for accepting guest posts or pages on my larger sites. It is a typical spam method that can destroy your site.
They want to use another person's website as a buffer from Google. After posting the article and seeing it indexed, they will blast their article on your site with very questionable methods like comment posting, forum spam, profile links and worse. This will increase their rankings as your authority and new inbound links will pass on juice to them. As long as it works, you and your customer will benefit, but when penalty will happen, you are screwed. Not their, but your site will be hit with a penalty and it will be painful. Worst case: your site will be de-indexed from Google. Be careful. |

Many thanks,
I was suspicious about the guest post, as they were using a free e mail addy and initially did not give me the web site involved. Other cold callers have always named their site or company. When I never replied she sent me a mail offering me $5!!!!!! |
