What is your opinion...
about this site http://www.forsatisfaction.com/frees...01/warning.htm
I recently start building free sites and your input of how to improve is very welcome. Thank you in advance. |

Looks good to me. I'd list it.
You're allowed 3 ads at most link lists. I'd get a few up on your first page. Keep em softcore and you'll be good most places. I don't have any hard and fast rules about either of those things, but some link lists do, so keeping it to 3 ads and only softcore on the first page should cya most everywhere.

Well...
*the title isn't on the warning page *the warning page doesn't use the same template as the rest of the site. *you didn't bother to hide the fact that you took someone's warning text and put it in an iframe. <!-- saved from url=(0045)http://www.hometowngirls.com/v4/warning1.html --> *you've used javascript for an image swap or something *your thumbs are tiny and not exactly clear *YOU'RE USING REVSHARE HOSTING

I would care... it is the difference between a good site and a mass produced junk site... LL's want good sites. DD

100% Agree DD. I am new to LL ownership, but even I would stay away from that, and I am desperate to get some more submitters.

Well, I thought seeing the home page that it was going to be a high end Free site, but the lay-out is not the same at all. Im not a free site guru by any means but its seems that LL owners would shy away because of the drastic change in the sites overall appeal after the warning page.
Picking up on what UW said, the hometown honey site is actually a Hustler site and the home page (warning page that he is sending traffic to) is pretty much a replica copy of the HH website. J-

thanks a lot guys, i appreciate your opinions. Let me explain myself a little:
Useless Warrior: Well... *the title isn't on the warning page - Yes, my excuse i submit that site to avs sites and i made different warning page in a hurry, just for this board. Originally it was http://www.forsatisfaction.com/frees...ersalpass.html *the warning page doesn't use the same template as the rest of the site. - same reason *you didn't bother to hide the fact that you took someone's warning text and put it in an iframe. <!-- saved from url=(0045)http://www.hometowngirls.com/v4/warning1.html --> - again, did not want to write warning by myself, thought it does not matter *you've used javascript for an image swap or something - no javascript *your thumbs are tiny and not exactly clear - yes i agree, i get that advice from someone with explanation that surfers must stay "hungry". What size thumbs is reccomended? *YOU'RE USING REVSHARE HOSTING - yes i do, why is that a bad thing, no extra banners, redirections, uptime is ok... ? I will make corrections on the first site, in a meantime here is another one http://www.forsatisfaction.com/frees...01/mat01w.html Last edited by DanyC; 2007-11-19 at 09:05 PM.. |

Take a look in your code. There quite definately is javascript. And it's on the one you just posted too.
Code:
<script language="JavaScript" fptype="dynamicanimation"> <!-- function dynAnimation() {} function clickSwapImg() {} //--> </script> <script language="JavaScript1.2" fptype="dynamicanimation" src="../../../../animate.js">

Don't get discouraged; it's usually the last key that opens the lock...

On the revshare hosting, most LL owners will have a problem with it because you don't really control the hosting. If they wanted to, they could kill the revshare hosting and then all your sites are gone. I believe this may be the main reason. |

The revshare hosting is not allowed at most LLs - for some very good reasons that have been discussed ad-nauseum in threads here and can be searched for |

There are pre-filled forms and contracts that you can purchase in all realms of the legal world – Attorneys purchase these and modify them to meet the clients needs. You can always do the same. But why not just ask before you use it? I’ve been both on the giving and receiving end of such requests and really appreciate it when someone asks me first. In most cases, I allow the use unless it will impact me in a negative manner. In my main-stream business, I get dozens of copyright release request every year. Most of the time, we let the customer use the copy as long as they give credits. Bottom line is that most of us appreciate the fact that someone has the integrity to acknowledge our work and are honored by the fact that they think is good enough for others to use. And yes, rewording a concept in your own words is usualy OK but coping and pasting someone’s code is not - and this is the only way the code can still be attached to the text. |

I agree. Again, It was not my intention to copy legal form and have benefits from it, just quick building of warning page linking with the galleries and posting it here for learning purposes!
And please, can you people who bought legal forms and disclaimers direct me where you bought it so i can do it too... Thank you in advance. |

I just asked - and I got the OK for much of it. I sent it all through my attorney to make sure it met local and national requirements. The rest, he came up with. The only contract I won’t share, would be our model contracts….. Over $3,000 in legal fees paid for those babies but I’d stake my freedom on them – cheep at double the price.
Of course, I can’t release anything that was passed onto me…. I just get to use it, not share it. BTW, if keep the email or correspondence that states you’re allowed to use copyright material. I recently had a publishing company that used 8 of my pictures for the front and rear covers of a new book. They failed to put credits in the book as per our correspondence. They knew I had them over a barrel and we settled to my advantage – and they were not forced to re-call 150,000 books. |

Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all

I get rejected at the big LL's for banners with the word "enter" so I stay clear of them entirely. Your images are huge & that's gonna take up a lot of bandwidth... and YES I wrote my warning (without a lawyer) and use the same one on every free site.
