What do you think the chances are of Hillary getting the nomination?
How many states has Obama won in a row now? I think it is 10. Clinton will have to see that she doesn't have a chance if she looses any of the next big 3 states. She should be out by this time, in 2 weeks or sooner.

9-1 odds she gets the Knod...with a 5-2 line that a republican remains in the White House.

I think Obama will get it. I hope she seals herself out of the nomination. Her public crying (there's no empathy in those tears, those are the tears of someone who doesn't like to lose), her campaigns recent smears against Obama (who people just seem to like), and her inconsistent stances on various issues should be enough to help her lose that slight lead, if she still has it. She just seems like a relic of the old guard who will further the status quo. And every time I read an article about her close business affiliations to the likes of Walmart and Monsanto I can't help but wonder if she can run a country with the people's best interests in mind over those of her friend's with big pockets.
It's time for new ideas anyway. Or as Obama would say -- "change!" If I had to choose between her and an unknown, I'd chose unknown.

Wisconsin is an open primary and you could vote for any presidential candidate. Independent voters, in Wisconsin, flocked to Obama, which does not bode very well for McCain. Republican conservatives voted for Huckabee. McCain has problems. Across the nation, it seems voters are looking for any change. Also Obama versus McCain in a debate? Obama definitely has the edge. A year ago, I though Mitt Romney could be the Republican nominee and have appeal because of his middle of the road policies in Massachussetts ,but he took the only path he thought was available. He decided to run as a religious conservative and came across as very self-serving and phony. Who knows, we might have a president with the middle name of Hussein. |

Although, I did just see the NYTs article about McCain having an affair with a lobbyist.

I know this is going to sound misogynistic somehow, but I just can't stand listening to Hillary's strident and annoying voice any longer.
Now I immediately change the channel or mute the sound when her segments appear on CNN these days. No way I want to have that in my ears for the next 4 (or more) years. If you caught Bill Maher's comments about her last Friday, I agree that she's been showing us how we can expect her to act and what we can expect to hear in her voice when she has to handle something she doesn't like. And I really don't want her sounding like that in meetings with leaders of other countries, or making speeches to the nation (and world) sounding that way. And now, just for grins, since I've probably offended a few people already, here's a little montage of photos showing 32 views of the woman I hope never gets to be president. YMMV

It seems that Obama has to get the nomination for the Democrats to win. I saw on Meet the Press yesterday the worst thing that could happen to Democrats is to have to tell everyone that is excited about Obama to "Nevermind" and put the genie back in the bottle.
I have no problem with either of them. I just hate it that both Clinton and Obama hurt the other to get the nomination. The shit they bring up now is just fuel for the Republicans in the General. Hopefully, sometime Wednesday, it will all be over. |

Yep, I agree that having Obama taken out of the race (whether by Hillary or a sniper) would be very bad for the Democrats. I think it would be bad for the excitement and interest-level in politics in general too. It'd be very easy for people to get disinterested in the whole process again. Which is what some of the Powers That Be really would prefer, and why I mentioned 'sniper' as a reference to what some would like to see happen.

Clinton seems to be seriously lacking the "likeability factor." Everyone tells me they can't stand her, regardless of what the issues are.
I do like her myself..she's had a great career. I think it's funny how a few years back she was the evil-commie-women's lib-wild eyed ex-hippie who would destroy America with her healthcare plan...now she's too establishment for the lefties, and Ann Coulter and a few pundits have said they'd vote for her over McCain. If nothing else, US politics is entertaining. At any rate, I think Obama will end up with the nomination, and probably the presidency. I think Obama will smoke McCain in the debates, and Bush's unpopularity will translate to votes for Obama. |

We are not going to know anything tomorrow. There is going to be a very bad ice storm hitting northern Ohio and they are talking about postponing the primary. What a mess.

Vote Libertarian Because voting for the "lesser of two evils" is still voting for evil.
That said, I would never count out a Clinton until it's over.
