RSS Feeds feedback please

In my estimation, there is not enough text to be useful in a blogging environment. I could use the feeds in a sidebar but not as a main source within the blog. In my opinion, a RSS feed not only needs a little larger picture but somewhere around 200 words to be useful as posts.

would it work better if we changed the title (the bold light blue text) to something like this;

and then used this text under the thumbs;

These three guys are just sitting around and thinking about pussy when one of them suggests they give Masha a call. The girl is well known for playing hard to get until she has a couple of drinks. And then you can do almost anything with her and she... (Read More Click Here!)

That is straight off the gallery page and the (Read More Click Here!) would be linked to the tour. would that be a more effective way to make these?

The basic answer would be yes...although I would probably only use the second thumb in the gallery as the picture and size it around 250px (i like large thumbs i guess) and then have your text underneath. Both the title and the (Read More Click Here!) text linked to the tour.

Some bloggers would probably like the thumb to link to the gallery or the tour but I personally would leave it unlinked.

Does that make sense?

Yeah the linking or not linking the thumb to the gallery is a question we will need to answer. right now I am inclined to leave it as another way of exsposing the surfer to the content and trying to make the sale. But having you say you'd prefer just links to the tour throws that into question.

I will talk to the guys and see if there is a way we can have our cake and eat it to. By giving affiliates the choice to pick if they want the gallery shown or not.

I personally see the link to the gallery as an un-necessary step between the teaser text and the tour....especially since the (Read More Click Here!) links directly to the video preview on the tour we were just discussing.

I pretty much decide on a sponsor by sponsor basis if I am going to use a hosted gallery link or not and usually that depends on the linking options the sponsor gives me. If I can link directly to a "model" page, I almost never link to the FHG. On the other hand, if I have to link to something not related to my post, i'll then filter the traffic through the FHG. My preference is to give the surfer more of a tease than what he's gotten on the blog but also to move him to the sponsor with as few clicks as possible.

The feedback I have gotten to these feeds has been absolutely great! You guys have really helped shape the way we are going to move forward with these.
First things first though, I can say we are going to be adding much more text with each of these.
The second thing is we have figured out (with lots of help) that one way to do the feeds is appropriate for TGPs/MGPs and another for blogs (with a larger image)
so we are going to see about having the choice for our affiliates to pick which ever of the two will fit with their way of using the feeds

Ok, so we made a couple of adjustments and here is an example of the new one for bloggers. Please tell me where we may have missed important things. I am thinking maybe we could use longer text for them but I am not sure if this would satisfy the blogosphere or not

the feed definitely looks better now, but the inserted images are way too big. they will hardly fit to blog designs..

Yep, the pic is huge, you probably don't want to go beyond 350 px wide so that it will fit within the post area of all blogs.

but I am of the opinion that every single tool that we provide to our affiliates remain a 'work in progress' and I am the type of guy that if someone approaches me and says "you know, you could really make this better by ______" then I listen to that and consider IF we can do it, and if we can, then we make that adjustment. So any feedback, either privately or right here on the board is not only very welcomed, but greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks to everyone who has helped out in this thread, these suggestions have gone a long way towards improving the way we can provide these Feeds for you to use

hey man, im a little late on the feedback but i just checked...

i will be adding RSS feeds for my paysite as well and from an affiliate standpoint you really want the feeds to fit right into a blog... lots of text, written like a blogger not a paysite webmaster

Good text + keyword density... so if ur site is like 'buttcrack love' you might wanna get a few terms in there that encompass buttfucking and synonyms for it.
