Angry Fucking autoinstallers

ARGH!§ I've been struck by the worst toolbar ever, it fucks my pc up..never been as slow before! And yeah I know who to blaim

--> http://teens-dream.com/ this site adds itself to my favourites together with "Power cleaners" "Automotive resources" and various other yap..its 100% sure the site where this gets installed (if anyone trades traffic or links with him please dont do so anymore btw)

It pisses me of when webmasters resort to "efforts" like these...no wonder that its getting so much thougher for all parts in the adult scene when we got small rats like this one exploiting every fucking possibillity EXCEPT making some honest and decent cash...

its a miracle how these fucking toolbars can fuck my whole day up...I cant even begin to imagine the hours of work I've lost to these fuckers...

That sucks man I feel your pain. Not too long ago I had to re-install WinXP 3 times in one month due to stuff auto-installing and taking over my machine.

The last time I re-installed Windows I did the following, and haven't had any problems since:

- Stop using Internet Explorer and use Firefox or a more secure browser
- Use an antivirus program like Norton AV 2005
- Install Ad-Aware and run it daily
- Install Spybot S&D to monitor your systems
- Make sure you have all the latest Windows updates

Actually, since I stopped using IE I haven't had Ad-Aware find anything, whereas it used to find tons of stuff daily. Hope this helps.

And Lord, we are especially thankful for nuclear power, the cleanest, safest
energy source there is. Except for solar, which is just a pipe dream

There are quite a few nasty buggers out there that get autoinstalled. For IE users its pretty much maditory that you are patched to date always, that is the first line of defense. I do PC Support for homes and small businesses besides dabbling in the adult arena and the most common things that hit are CWS (cool web search) variants. All but one of them are easily cleaned in seconds via CWS Shredder just search for it if needed. The one that isn't is a real friggin nightmare installing Home Search Assistant and 2 other programs, about 150 randomly named dll's and exe's, browser hijack, etc. etc. The only thing that I have seen that cleans this is About:Buster, another cool tool. When you run it, it will run 2x by default, but I always run it twice for a total of 4 scans. Your anti-spyware and anti-virus should knock out the rest, but that last one is quite a pisser, the "best" i've seen in terms of ingenous bastards who create the stuff.
As a side note, I run IE outside of checking sites across browsers and never get any of this stuff and believe me I hit enough sites that you would expect the worst of the worst from.

Just wanted to toss out those 2 tools for those that get nabbed...I hate hearing that people reinstall when its not really necessary, just need to know what you have and how to remove it.

I use a Mac. We don't have any autoinstaller crap or viruses or worms.
