Large pics on HTML pages

Most linksites allow the large pics to appear on html pages with only 1 textlink or banner on it but some don't. My experience is that most of the clicks to sponsors come from the large pic html page, so I ask myself this question: "Why are some linklists scaring webmasters away with this 'No Pic On Html Pages Stuff'. I understand it's a bit cleaner but hey.. 1 texlink ain't gonna make much difference I think...

(maybe I can bypass this rule by using PHP pages instead of HTML |rasta| )

We're all built different with different likes and dislikes. 10 years ago it was common place to have the images on html pages. However, as with most any aspect of this industry abuse caused most webmasters to rethink the use of them.

I personally don’t have a problem with them if they have one text link or one small banner. But I remember getting subs with 3 banners at the top and endless banners at the bottom.
