How do you cope with that?

Hi all,

I have a moral issue.
I got access to a paysite I am promoting that offers according to the tour pages 1000's of video's and pic's but when I got inside their were only a few video files and pics. As a member I also had access to some other sites with also very few vids and pics.

Now I know this I find it hard to still promote this site because I feel the surfer who buy a membership is cheated.

I know that a lot of sponsors have bad sites but most of the time you don't know that.
But now I now.

I have a ratio of 1/400 what is quit good especialy in this time.

How do you guys and girls cope with that?

How many is a few?

How much content would you expect a pay site to have?

I've been pretty shocked at how bad many member's areas are.

I think even with PPS word gets out and surfers stop buying.

I used to do site reviews for Jane's Guide and I can tell you flat out.. 9 out of 10 pay sites we reviewed were horrible. Nice tours..big promises..No pictures..

1 bbw site i review.. promised 200K in pics on their tour.. inside.. they had maybe at most 500 bbw pics and the rest were skinny content models.

very sad.. and really why i basically switched to indie models.. they at least keep their sites up..for the most part. and are willing to let you have a pass to look inside.. if you are promoting them.

Maybe I am a honest guy but I feel more motivated when I know I am selling a good produkt.
Face to face I never could sell something I know is trash.

But why are they doing it?
They make a lot of money so why not invest it to make even a better produkt and your members stay and are happy.

Overstatements in advertising is common and as consumers we've come to expect it. But if they're grossly misrepresenting the site in their ads I'd be weary.

If you're so uncomfortable with promoting them that you consider it a moral issue I think you know the answer.

Do you think the TV stations care if the late night info-mercials product is good? You are promoting something, let the buyer beware. If I'm not mistaken this is not like the cam business where sites take the money back from the host if the customer does a chargeback. So you get paid either way. Enough of those and the site will loose its processing and maybe decide to give more.

Personally I have a problem with selling sites like that too. I like the idea of selling the surfer a trial for $1.00 and then giving them a small amount of quality content. Then show them in detail what they get with a full membership. Everybody wins this way.

I've seen the inside of 90% of the paysites I promote. the other 10% are owned by programs that I've seen the insides of.

as a rule, produce a few signups then email them and ask for a temp pass to check it out. most programs will be willing to do that with folks who have already produced some income for them.

then its up to you. the programs i choose to promote all have killer backdoors.

should be the same for you.

oh and dont get me wrong i dont expect anything insane but, at least similar to what the tour promises.

if its a video/reality site it needs a good 10 episodes. if they're paying 40 bucks which is the price of a DVD these days for adult then they need to be getting at least as much footage as they'd get on that dvd.

if they promise 30k pictures they need to have close to that. always fair to compare promises and backends when making your decision on who to promote.

The other thing is that sites like this have a flow-on effect to the rest of us. It makes the surfers less trusting of porn, so they buy less.

I guess I like the way I do it. I show thumbs of everything in the site. You can see what you are going to get, and I get joins! I too don't believe in tricking someone, because they can always chargeback!
