You know what I notice?
The "I am new here" posts get very few replies. You know why that is???
Because in our welcome email you get, it says to say hello here, http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=22574 |

I just never saw the point of a "I'm new" post since most will post a few times and be gone forever and how many times a day can someone else make a "welcome" post?
Just come and jump in, no need to say hi and get a welcome from 1000 other people. |

I never really liked it from a user point. Made me feel like I had to decide if I was going to be active on the board or not, right away. I'm never a big fan of people who are members of boards for years and then decide to chime in with one post. I think not even bothering with a I'm new here board would be fine as all you have to do is look at the amount of posts someone has made. But I do like the I'm new posts that tell you something about the persons backround. "Hello I'm new here, been rubbing one out to porn for 10 years and figured I would get in the business cause my mom told me I could be great at it!" lol
