Directnic.com survives in NO
For those of you who use directnic, these guys are based out of New Orleans.
Their building still stands and is operational. take a look http://www.livejournal.com/users/interdictor/ live journal of the techies who are keeping directnic working. absolutely amazing stuff. webcam pointed down at the streets, you can watch the looting as it happens. goddamned i love blogging. |

they're owrking all right. been watching em a few days. directnic has several deisel power generators and have been swapping services for deisel fuel to run em, to keep their business online. its fucking fascinating stuff ![]() |

If they do go down, then updates would be unavailable, meaning the current DNS settings would remain until they are updated, correct?
