That is the thing that is truly bad for this business. Not all the other crap. When you lose the confidence of the consumer, you are left with nothing.

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

I guess they had to get enough money in to pay for the next round of parties and fun at the Ibill offiices.

Does it ever end?

I dumped them years ago, so hopefully they purged me from their database. I get enough shit in the email everyday otherwise!

I read about a guy that had used IBill to purchase a membership, and he said that he would never buy anything with his CC on-line again. It’s sad for us that these things happens, because people will think twice before handing out their CC which in the long run means less money for us, or the business must develop a new payment strategy to keep the confidence of the surfers.

Whats really bad about all of this is that part of the story is not being told when people like NBC do a piece on this (last night) and combine it with internet porn addiction with some lackey for the anti-porn groups telling of his woes from watching computer porn for 6 hours a day

I have a good buddie of mine in the biz that actually expects a check for 20k by the end of this month. I'll keep ya posted if they actually come thru with the dough. I know they've been stroking him along with little payments every month...prolly to keep him from sicking his attorney on them...

And to really put a bite on this whole story - THIS WHOLE THING HAPPENED THREE YEARS AGO - the news media evidently was fed the story by DOJ or some other idiot looking for some publicity before an election and re-hashed the shit form years ago

I apologize for falling for the whole thing before checking the background on this - seems MSN is doing knee bends to this story as if it was something new

Linkster, the media is very easily lead by the nose these days. "Unnamed officials in the XXXXXXXXXXX department" is a valid source it seems, and they will go with things without checking facts, or more often glossing over issues in order to get a good Drudge style headline.

With the latest potential 2257 rule changes, and mid term elections in the wings, the porn industry is once again a favored whipping boy for these people as they try to snow their constituents into re-electing them.

Considering how much crap has gone on with IBill in the last couple of years, nothing would surprise any of us.
