Seems to me that TGP2's allow more advertising and require fewer pics.

Iman is correct, only 5 linkable thumbs and more ads. Of course some varied but that was the norm. I tried it was it was "hot", never got much traffic out of it, then again, it did'nt seem to attract the big traffic pumps, or build up like many had hoped. I have not seen any around for some time.

I was being serious when I asked if there was any tgp2's still around.

I gave it a try too and thought it was a good idea that did not seem to be getting off the ground. Was kind of hoping that something did come out of it.

I just noticed that tgp2.com is for sale as a domain only It is always a poor idea when your business model is based on deceiving the customer. I would really like them to go away forever.

I guess I dont get what you are saying Jim.

What part did you find deceiving?

Was it the fact that they did not want to link out to real tgps?

Or are you talking about blind links?

I liked the ones that had about the same rules as regular tgps but only allowed 5 pics.

Blind links is the deception. If someone doesn't want to link to any other site, that's their business. The basic premise was to make surfers believe they were going to see more content that they really were going to. It's never a good business model to base it on an entire network of blind links.

If the idea was good, there would be many of them still around today.

I think it may be time to change the title of this forum

Hey... I'd like to know as well...
From the tgp/tgp2 board I assumed that tgp2 is a current thing to promote with...
Is it not worth the time... or is it not even alive?

Thanks!

For what it's worth, I experimented with a few TGP2 galleries a year or 2 ago, had 1 signup or so, the few TGP2's that are around get you some traffic but not the kind you want to waste your time on.

Just my $0.02
