Carrie and at my last thread asked me how many sales I had with my thehun.net post with my gallery, I think I had three, but sales is not my priority with my web site, here is why

I want to know from you guys what you think of the advices this webmaster gave me on this thread, as it was surely why i have built me a porn web site.

That other thread just reflects my problem, I got advices from a webmaster and was just trying to verify if his advices are the best way to go with my web site, I really didn`t know that other posts threads were not welcome here, and to that I apologize...

I really don`t know much about the whole thing as you can see.

I just thought it would be easier to expose my situation with a thread already done.

OK, I will give you short descriptition of my problem, I started out with an escort site, but I wasn`t happy with my traffic, so I started sending out galleries to porn sites to raise a little bit of it, a friend webmaster showed me the link to the board I posted above, and there, someone gave the advice that I should build a Latina related porn site and divert the traffic to my escorts site, It is not that I don`t care about the sales, but my priority is to raise traffic to my escorts site, that explains a bit?

It seems to me that it would be the other way around. You would filter off traffic from a escort site to a porn membership.

I say this because an escort site would be regional, you can't download an escort through your modem, so much of your traffic would be wasted unless you did offer them something practical, like a porn membership.

Then again I hear quantum teleportation is coming.

The thing is that the web is world wide and you have a local product in Buenos Aires. I'm not sure that using TGPs is the best way to be bringing traffic to your site. Not to mention that most TGP surfers are looking for porn, not an escort.

To be honest I know about marketing porn on the web, not escorts, but as with any regional product I would be more looking at travel type traffic or escort top lists.

Sorry but Im going to say i have to agree with Cleo on this one, it's not as if you have numerous outlets in all these different countries and places in order to satisfy some of that Escort traffic, other way around I can totally understand.

Im really not one thats big on giving advice that isnt based on some sort of money decision in the end, meaning I have to see a monitary reason or possability for some sort of extra cash in order to do something, I personally cant fathum getting the most out of an Escort site.

I may be wrong here.

I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with the advice you were given over there.

Will you make escort sales from general porn traffic? No, probably not. Well, a few, but you would make much more money selling porn to porn traffic.

But there's no reason you can't have some integration between escort sites and porn sites. I think it's illegal in some jurisdictions but if you are in South America you are probably fine. Check with a local lawyer.

If you can film and photograph your talent, you would have your own exclusive content, and there are always ways to make money off of that. What they are telling you, the LATINA thing, is probably true enough.

Escort promotion is pretty specialized, and yours is even more specialized, because your business is in the country it's in.

Cleo has given you the best advice IMHO. TGP surfers want porn and your base product is not exactly in the same category.

Why not check into local ISP's and purchase ad space from them and get your site listed in DMOZ under the proper category. The DMOZ listing will help get you showing up in the search engines. I think you'd do much better having a limited amount of VERY TARGETTED traffic than to have tons of traffic that result in costing you more in bandwidth than the $ it produces for the escort service.
