Suggestions on Web Cam capture software?

I have a little project I am working on and I have an idea about time lapsed video, so I am looking for a easy to use web cam capture software that I can set for 15 secs, 30 secs, 5 mins or whatever that will snap a shot from a web cam, and save each image and then make a video of all the images.

I have found software that will do this, but I would just rather have software that someone has used and recommended.

Nikon Capture 4 Software for the Nikon camera does this but it only works on PowerPC Macs.

This also does what you are looking for plus much more but again it is Mac only.
