User upload indian amateur gallery..

Hi everyone,

Ive been away for the last year focusing on some other priorities and am now getting back into adult related stuff slowly... being away for so long, I realize I am very behind the ball and have a LOT of reading & learning ahead of me

What I have done over the last couple of weeks is, try to setup a user upload gallery for amateur east indian content, focusing on private pictures only... thats the concept.

Now apart from the very obvious copyright issues (assuming that I can setup moderation in such a way that there is no copyrighted material on the site, nothing but private pictures only, and also covering myself with the necessary disclaimers), and I am sure this is something that has been tried before, but if i can start to get some traffic flowing to the site, I figure I have two options eventually...

1. Move to a membership type setup once I have some established traffic (IF I ever get any established traffic).. pay for membership to see the pictures with some sort of dual membership model where uploaders get a substantial discount and leechers pay full price or something like that...
2. Keep the way it is, with sponsor ads etc (which is the way it will need to stay for a LONG time for now anyways before I can even start looking at the membership concept)

What do people think? Will something like this fly?

I think the site needs some help. First you should try to have a domain that targets the niche. What does raat stand for? Cause I don't know and I didn't see anything that explained it. Second, there's ads all over the place. Ebony site, blinking ads, and the dreaded AFF. But I was brave, and continued on to find the pictures. Oh joy, thumbnails 27x40 and the FULL SIZE image at a whopping 69x100. Yay. I think the whole thing needs to be redone imho.

Hey Calmodels, welcome back.

I had noticed you were gone but your trades stayed up as well as your sites, and that's a rarity nowadays.

But on your site http://www.calgarymodels.com/ there were two things that popped out to me. Number 1 your text is almost impossible to read which might be fucking up your SE placement, and #2 you're running adbrite ads which is not a well liked ad source/sponsor.

Sorry, I didn't take a look at http://www.raat.ca , I'm more concerned about the site where my old trades are still up first.

as for the thumbnails, Ive been playing around with the gallery script permissions so non registered members only see the thumbs, and when people login they see the fullsize pictures...

yeah I completely see your point about the ads... I have to clean the template up, Im reusing the template from another gallery site...

My thinking behind the thumb permissions was if people actually register and look for full sized images, that will make it easier in the long run if I want to switch over to a paid membership model, with some sort of discount thing for existing members etc...

The template for the Calgary Models website needs some work that I will hopefully get to this weekend, as all that content sits in a MySQL DB, so its a bitch to edit

I have dumped the Adbrite stuff... its no longer there...

That's cool, maybe just explain that somewhere on the page for your visitors that don't know what it means.

That's going to be tough to get people to register, when any surfer can find tons of TGP and other sites where content can be seen without registering. You'd better have a kick ass page that grabs the surfer immediately and makes them want to see inside, even with a free registration.

Isn't there something similar to what you're trying to do....White Clouds...Red Clouds...Wife Lovers or something like that? Surfers get to see teaser images but membership gets the good stuff?

How are you going to verify or prove the uploaded content is valid or not copywritten, is actually owned or produced by the uploader? Not putting the idea down, just to me it sounds like trouble waiting to happen.

And I could be wrong, but with a such a narrow niche, you might have a hard time getting enough "user" content.

ronnie, true, there is that risk...

My thinking is, as far as policing the content goes, anything that does not look like its been produced professionally is OK (ie, stuff that does not contain what looks like professional models, or a professional photoshoot etc)... setup a few people and give them rights to moderate user uploads to follow those guidelines, and have a pretty open system that if anyone disputes that content is copyright, remove it right away so the copyright holders dont have lost income because someone uploaded it saying it was their own... sort of like a "best intent" basis... I know its iffy..

As for the community, Ive been looking at some of the other "user upload" sites like the ones mentioned above, and there appears to be quite a bit of amateur content in this niche... all lumped into a "general" category...

Ofcourse, hindsight is always 20-20, this may eventually attract leechers and not any actual uploaders, guess will have to rethink the intent of the site if that happens and which direction it goes at that point.... if there is enough of a userbase but not enough uploaders, than maybe take it more mainstream?

Guess what I am saying by all that rambling is, dont know yet, will have to see how the crow flies

But I figure, since I have a bunch of servers kicking around and dont have to worry about how much bandwidth I chew up, no harm in giving this the old college try... who knows, maybe this will become a viable income stream?

I guess I would think, what if some pissed off boyfriend or ex-husband wants to get even with his girlfriend or ex-wife and posts nude or sex pictures? Maybe never happen, but possible. Just my thoughts.

You could always turn it in to a hub or something. Indian links list or tgp or a mix. I've seen people turn up a niche like that pretty good. Sure would be targeted.
