Cant get the radio show working

Hi

Can anyone shed some light on getting the radio show working?

I click the link and winamp opens and thats it, and I try to insert the url in winamp and it says "sync problems"

Any ideas on how to get it going? Never been able to listen to the show cos of the tech problems I have.

TIA

I messed this weeks but last week it no longer worked in iTunes. After messing around I got it to work in QuickTime using the Flip4Mac plugin.

I have to click the link with firefox, then it opens in Winamp no problem, but not with IE, I get the same error JD gets.
But I use the chat with IE because firefox keeps telling me to tell the board op to register the software or something

Aaah technology, can't wait to add skype into the mix

Same here regarding iTunes, the url won't play there. No problem listening in the Safari browser using the Flip4Mac plugin, but really would rather have it play in iTunes where I can save the url and control the output a lot better too.

Open QuickTime Player and under the File menu use the open url function. All your controls are there including base and treble although you can't save the location but you can save the chat if you have QuickTime pro.

But I also prefer using iTunes.

Yep, that's how I did it two weeks ago. But clicking the url opens it in Safari so that's how I listened this week.

I wonder why it won't play in iTunes. I bet Sparky knows.

Winamp will play mms://radio.greenguysboard.com/ggjimradio , however, has a problem with the http://. Ironically, if mms/udp cannot be reached, and winamp must fail over to http, it will work

Itunes won't run in linux. And if I understand Apple's document on Itunes, the only way to listen to a WMA feed is to use the flip4mac plugin through quicktime.

There are some political wranglings behind why apple won't support WMA which probably means no real fix in the near future for that.

So the new feed is a WMA feed but the old version wasn't? I'm asking since I always listened to the radio show and OTB in iTunes until the recent url changes.

The old feed was done on shoutcast, which was an .mp3 stream. Due to some hardware oddities on Greenie's machine, it was switched to WMA through a Windows Media Server.

Sure, Jim may have dogs,
but Greenie has hardware oddities.
