To make a long story short, John Rice from Burn Ads (ICQ Number: 300-321-990 Nickname: kuka) contacts me about buying some traffic for a client of theirs. (I sell all of my traffic CPC.)

They wanted to run a flash banner. Unbeknownst to me, they had hidden some sort of bullshit download script in the flash file.

When anyone using IE7 would load my site and their banner came up, my site would redirect and a download window would open with “Drive Cleaner” in it or some bullshit like that.

I do not have IE7, so I never saw it. Another webmaster that I trade traffic with, happen to be checking out our trade on my site and noticed it.

I had a few other webmasters and tech people look into it, including my hosting company. It took me a few days and a few more webmasters (Another big thanks to MML) to figure out exactly what was causing it.

I tried to contact him after I found out and he has yet to return my message. It’s been 2 days now.

I also tried to contact Drive Cleaner about it, but they did not return my email either.

drivecleaner claims to be a 'spyware/virus cleaner'
But my antivirus 'Avast' is telling me drivecleaner itself is a virus...

Drive Cleaner is a scam, it's fake software and linked to alot of malware trojans all over the net, they're also a bastard to get rid of.
