How many pics per gallery for free sites?

I know the usually min is 12 per gallery for a free site, but I'm wondering if im giving too much away for free. Most I had on one free site was 52 but try to stick with 30ish.

Just wondering if anyones analyzed this and has any recommendations on how many pics should be on a gallery page to get the surfer hot enough to buy.

i think 24 to 30 would be the average. i use 30 because i also submit to pk whose minimum requirement is at least 30. well, though there times that i don't submit to pk, i still use 30.. maybe out of habit..

24-30 here.
It's very easy to give too much away, and I've seen some link lists that have a maximum of 30 for that reason.
You have to find a balance. Good enough content to get listed without completely satisfying your visitors - something I've got wrong many times.
