Question about recurring!

ok, I promote this site that sells really good, and costs $ 19.95 for 1 month, with $ 6.95 recurring monthly... as I said, the ratio is great, and many surfers stay members for few months... I wanted to ask you (considering your experience), would $ 19.95 for 1 month, with $ 19.95 recurring monthly change that signup ratio a lot, couse I know it would improve recurring income alot.... is it worth doing?

I'd like to suggest that to the owners, but wanted to see what you guys think about that first...

thanx for your time!

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

boobster it depends on many aspects some of which would be the frequency of updates, quality of the content, amount of content added with each update etc.

*Not ThatKevin* hit it on the head it depends on alot of different factors, the updates and the content, are very important.

The main thing that matters is your bottom line. I have found that cheap trials or cheaper monthly rebills doesn't mean that your sites will convert much better or rebill for much longer.

I make much more with full price join, popping an expensive trial on exit, and a $29.95 monthly rebill.

Actually, I believe the answer would be "no", if it is only the recurring price that changes I would be surprised if it would affect the signup ratios....it will however affect the rebills. But like NotThatKevin said, if it is a good members area with frequent updates, etc, then you will likely only see a very small decline in the amounts of rebills, which would mean overall more money for you!

cheers,

Luke

ok, so we are thinking about the same... updates are not that regular, but the content is all exclusive and unique wich gives a reason for surfers to stay.... if they keep one in 3 members with new rebill, they'll earn same amount of money....

thanx guys for helping me on this one...
