Kind of confusing sometimes, do the links to content also count

Don't use a clickable 2257 link.

Are you asking because you had a gallery rejected for that reason? If so, you'd have to ask the site you submitted to, as everyone's definition of a link, especially "too many links", is different.

Most TGP's let the submit script count the number of outgoing links, therefore it includes every instance of "http://". So the answer is yes, recips, links to sponsors, any external link, is counted.

Keeping that in mind make sure your code is clean. I've seen cases where a simple sentence over a banner had four separate HTML links when one would have gotten the job done.

no, the question was about tgp/mgp submitting
just wondering, sometimes I get this error, but I will try to remove 2257 link and write the url there (will it work for the TGPs which require 2257?), I also noticed some recips have 2-3 links, what a waste

Some TGP's have a pretty restrictive limit on the number of external links, so you have to be really careful not to use any multi-link recips together with those.
