What do you think happened to Giuliani ?

I see all the pundints giving opinions as to what the hell happened to Giuliani. He was the republican front runner for so long and then he just dropped like a stone. I keep hearing that it was because he put all his eggs in the Florida basket. But, there was a reason he did that. He wasn't going to win in the earlier states. So even if he did campaign in the early states, he would not have won. I have to think it was because the only message he had was 9-11. And when the fire and police department came out blaming him for a lot of screwups, it just didn't work for him.

"They" say, his downfall may be the worst in history.

Everytime I saw him on the news he always seemed so disinterested in the whole process. Maybe that's just how he comes across. But I personally don't think his heart was in it.

I think people were just parking their support with him because he was a familiar face. Except for his popular stance on 911 and the war, many of his views (public policy and personal) don't mix with the rest of the Republican party. A man on his third marriage and who has been photographed in drag can't be the standard bearer for the party of Bush and Regan. My 2 cents.

Jim I agree 100%, I think he knew he had zero chance in any other early state besides FL and if he kept coming in 3rd/4th or worse he would not even have made it to FL, so I think he was more media hype then reality.

But holy frack was he scary, Bill Maher said it best, "he is the first guy that would really come after people like me". As Rudy has proved over and over, if you cross him or say anything bad about him; he will come after you with all his corrupt power and go out of his way to fuck with your life.
