Opinions Wanted
I decided I was going to try something...different. The truth is T-Pat inspired it with his keyword blogs, I just took it a little different route by only using one blog and using tags. When finished the site will be completely tag driven.
Anyway, check out XXX Blog Maniac and give me some feed back on what you think about the concept. Oh and some idea's for improving the text on the welcome page would be welcome as well. |

I don't think I've ever inspired anything before
I'm setting up a couple pornstar blogs, one for a very respected board member using wordpress and BA, after a whole bunch of thought I came up with just about the same "Tag Driven Concept", the other one is mine and it will be subdomaines like TijuanaWeb using BO and BA. The way I see it the Tag Driven blog will be a lot faster to setup and much easier to maintain. I honestly don't know which model the search engines prefer or if there is enough preference to justify the big difference in setup and maintenance Anyway I like it

Wheither you think you can or you think you can't, Your right.

Looks good so far. I am curious, why tags instead of categories?
My categories have always been the most popular, but then again, I haven't used tags real long. Plus need to seo my tag pages. Found one blog the tag pages didn't even work (heads up, check your tag pages). Just wondering why tags, not that it's a bad idea, I am no tag expert anyways. Can see some good tags your missing.... |

Hi Walrus,
I noticed that your blog doesn't fit into my oddball computer setup. I am using Firefox on a IBM X41 laptop running Ubuntu Linux. I have to scroll right a bit. My resolution is 1024x768. From my limited knowledge, I think tags are the way to go. It increases the key word density and Google seems to see that. Otherwise it looks good to me! |

Looks nice to me - maybe it will motivate me to get off my ass - at least to write for my feeds on a bi-daily basis.

I don't know how Walrus came up with the “Tag Driven” concept, after sleeping on Ronnies post I've decided to let the cat out of the bag and lay out my reasoning (this is my one good deed for 2008)
On March 24th the server I get my shared hosting from experienced a defacement (not exactly sure what that means). My aggregator was broken for a little while but Sparky fixed it. About a week latter I discovered that my “Tags” had stopped working, a few days latter I tried reinstalling the tagging script, that didn't fix it and I decided to give it a little while before I sent Sparky a SOS. The results so far, Googlebot traffic is maybe a tenth of what it normally is and I'm getting a shit load of 404's all to tag generated pages. I've got a one plus year old blog that has old pornstars listed in categories that I have setup to rotate on a daily basis, I added tags to the blog towards the end of last month and it's been like breathing new life into it.

I really could go to two columns since I don't plan any additional advertising other than the peel ads but that would put some of the things I feel important on the bottom of the sidebar. I'll have to see if I can pull the sidebars in a little closer to eachother but that theme seems to be a real pain in the ass as far as how they get positioned. Quote:
I've always been an apostle for tagging your porn blog. It's a great way to interlink your blog posts and since tags (at least on my blogs) are right below the post someone has been reading, I think it encourages the surfer to continue browsing whatever the perversion is that got him started. A visual cue telling him where he can find more right n front of his nose. I believe the SE's add more weight to a keyword tag as opposed to just keywords in your post, even if you do "bold" your keywords. Finally, I think, that if you are really going to have any success using RSS feeds and the duplicate content they represent you have to do some type of value add or at least something different from the pack. Not only is the navigation via tags but each tag page will have an associated RSS feed and I'll set up link trades on the tag pages as well. Hopefully all those good tags I'm missing will get added in as I add more content. There still are some good feeds I want to add but I figured it was time to develop the theme a bit, test out the tag concept and get myself in a position so I could start working more link trades. |
