Good Ike Watching Saturday

Morning

I've been watching Hurricane Ike (official thread here) since I got up. Damn.

I started working on my Fantasy Hockey stuff last night, but seeing as it's a new site/admin, it took me a lot longer than it should have to figure out how to enter players & salaries & contracts....but fuck me, I do love it

Finishing that is next on my list, then I have to get out my new saw & cut some fire wood for the winter

Damn, it isn't looking too good for where Ike hit although it is pretty funny watching the newscasters standing in the storm reporting and trying to not get blown over.

Just another day of more of the same old planned for today.

Some good games on today, #16 Oregon Ducks @ Purdue, UM vs ND, and of course #5 OSU vs #1 USC.

I am still not sure why I am up at fucking 8am since I was up to 4am thanks to one too many mochas after 4pm, but at least I get to see Lee Corso make an ass out of himself and I always enjoy that.

We lost power about 11:00 PM last night. We're back online now via generator.

No damage to anything here, just lots of leaves and small branches all over the ground.

Glad to hear things went okay for you Toby. Now we just need ladydesigner (and who else?) to check in and let us know she's okay too.

Early morning and took care of the chores around the house and made a trip to the grocery store to get the non-Ike stuff I don't stock up on before storms. Might get some work done if I can convince myself there's something that needs doing today. Otherwise I may cruise a few hidden shorelines and see if anything interesting washed up the last few days. Probably see some of you at OTB later.
