Verotel - just a general query
What does everyone here think of Verotel from an affiliate perspective? I know that ccbill is clearly king, but I am looking to diversify a bit.
Any experiences positive or negative? |

My experience as a reseller has always been positive, and using them as my main payment processor it has been 90% positive, some glitches here and there, but they have always came good in the end.

Internet! Is that thing still around?

I use them as a payment processor and for my affiliate program. I have no complaints at all. They are a very good company.

Verotel sponsors do well for me, but their Ticketsclub is a different thing. A lot of surfers find Ticketsclub confusing thus signup ratios are lower compared to the Verotel signup form in my experience.

Interesting comment. I'm currently throwing some traffic at a few verotel sponsors to test the waters and see. Most have been ticketsclub. I will have to be mindful of the difference and pay attention.

One thing I am noticing is a default cookie life of 30 days... ( +++ )
As well as an affiliate stats system which just plain sucks. ( - ) |

Ive gotten a bit better sign up ratio with a couple of the veritol programs I use. I like them. And as long as the checks come in, Im good.

Ran CCBill and Verotel side by side for the same tour for a few months and verotel came out clearly on top. Use them for a few of my smaller paysites, but also promote a few verotel sites as an affiliate. I think their affiliate backend needs a little work, but no complaints about the ratios and sales

So far 0:1,200 with the little I am throwing to them now. If after reaching 10,000 hits it is worse than 1:2,000 I will cease my affiliate campaigns which use them. We'll see. I do about 1:1200 on ccbill affiliate programs, though of course it varies with what one promotes and the traffic. |

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

I use their Ticketsclub as my payment processor and their Treasure Club as my affiliate program. They seem reliable with decent tech support (they reply in a timely manner). Interesting comment about Verotel forms getting better conversion than the ticketsclub forms. I should look into switching it.

Update:
Very happy. 1:147 conversion ratio, 5000 clicks sent. (My stats program was counting each hit three times from verotel before. The real ratio previously was 0:400, not 0:1,200.) Last edited by Allfetish; 2008-09-26 at 03:15 PM.. |
