Anyone Familiar With Setting Up Smart Thumbs?

I Grabbed The Free Version To Try It Out And Have Been Messing With It Most Of The Day After On The Bench With No Success.

Anyone Familiar With The Script That Might Be Able To Get The Basics Working For Me. Im Obviously Doing Something Wrong A Seem To Be Going In Circles And Getting Nowhere.

I had the exact same problem. It is because your index page is not in the st directory. Try putting ../ before your links in template file

Notice the same for the thumbs. each ../ goes up a directory, so ../../ will bring you up 2 dir's.

Atually after looking further I could be wrong...

Make sure you have manually thumbed/approved like 200 galleries. Pain in the ass I know. But I guess that is how it works. You need like 4 times the galleries than shows on your page. So if you have 50 thumbs on your page, you should manually thumb/approve like 200 galleries... 100 thumbs = 400 galleries etc.

I really didn't like smart thumbs setup at all, way more stuff than I need in a script.

Thanks For The Reply. Definetly Not Just An Install & Go Script. Im Sure It's Something Stupid That Im Missing But After Almost A Day And A Half I'm Still Getting Nowhere.

I'm Going To Grab A Copy Of TGPX From Jeremy In A Couple Months But I Was Just Looking For Something To Put Up In The Meantime As My Sons Due In A Couple Weeks Rather Than Leaving The Domain Empty.

Any Recommendations For An Easier To Set Up Free Script Temporarily?

I used http://robotgp.com/ on one of my sites and it was easy to setup and works rather nice. Have to add sponsor galleries manually but it is a breeze. I prefer it that way anyhow, so it worked out well for me.

One thing about this script... use firefox for admin area, IE8 was full of errors, took me awhile to figure that one out.

I used smart thumbs.. I had about 10 sites running with it, all paid versions.
I have nothing good to say about it.. NOTHING.

Luckily My Affiliate Account With Jeremy Had Some Moolah In It And I Was Able To Just Get TGPX Like I Wanted To.

I was much happier when I ditched ST for TGPX.

Looks like they didn't renew their domain, so that script is useless now.
