Manwin, WTF
Stealing Content Was Getting Harder So Manwin Is Trying To Change The Rules
Quote:
Times are tough in porn and even the tube sites are beginning to feel the pinch, seems they have stolen about all they can steal and now new content that gets uploaded gets a DMCA request to get it taken down about as quick as it goes up, so Manwin’s tube sites aren’t getting the new content they need to keep it profitable. That pesky DMCA law has become a real thorn in their side.
Here is what the DMCA says:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/17/512
(3) Elements of notification.—
(A) To be effective under this subsection, a notification of claimed infringement must be a written communication provided to the designated agent of a service provider that includes substantially the following:
(i) A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
(ii) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
(iii) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material.
(iv) Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.
(v) A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
(vi) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized
So now Manwin figures that they can re-write the law with their own rules. Now if you want a video removed from one of Manwin’s tube sites you have to use a specific form one that includes a captcha code and only allows one submission at a time.
http://www.copyrightcomplianceagency...keezmovies.com (Here is an Example for Keezmovies)
This is a clear effort to thwart companies like RemoveYourContent and TakeDownPiracy, who in the past would send a DMCA with dozens of videos at a time that were supposedly “user uploaded” over the last 24 hours or so. They would email it to the copyright email address and Manwin would have to remove the offending posts. This was starting to put a hurt on the traffic, because the new content was being removed as quickly as it went up.
The new procedure, which is a clear violation of the DMCA law was put into place to attempt to circumvent the law and to make it MUCH more difficult to remove multiple videos, matter of fact Manwin can put them up faster than they can be taken down this way.
But it gets better.
You see that form, sends its data to a new company called Copyright Compliance Agency, which oddly, shares the same physical address as a company called Degban.
http://i2.brazzers.com/docs/a1.html Take note of the address in Belize
Degban was set up by Manwin because takedownpiracy and removeyourcontent refused to take on Manwin companies as clients. So Degban does DMCA requests for the Manwin owned companies. now if you haven’t figured it out yet there is a clear connection here that Manwin owns Degban. To further that connection consider that Degban DMCA’s all the other tube sites EXCEPT the ones owned by Manwin, because those DMCA requests ultimately cause google to rank a tube site lower thus hurting the search engine result placement (SERP)
Now look at the addresses of Degban and Copyright Compliance Agency

So to battle this new roadblock Manwin has tried to set up the anti piracy guys started tracing the URLs back to the CDN – Content Delivery Network ( Think Verizon level 3) and started sending the DMCA take down requests directly to the CDN. Now that’s kind of a big fuck you to Manwin because the CDN is required by law to respond to the take down request, something that Manwin’s copyright compliance department used to have to do. You can bet your ass the CDN isn’t going to put up with that BS for very long before Manwin would lose it and have to move everything to a new Content Delivery Network…A HUGE chore.
So to combat that Manwin has started encrypting all of the video URLs so that they cannot be traced back to the specific CDN. Trying to force the anti piracy guys to have to use Manwin’s scam of a set up.
I have tried to explain this without getting too technical but the gist here is that this move may have been exactly what those looking to take Manwin down needed, this move shows intent to defraud, collusion and a clear attempt to circumvent the DMCA law.
Any attorney working on a lawsuit against Manwin should feel free to contact me, I will help in any way that I can.
This is just the beginning of what I have coming on Manwin this week but this is probably the most damning
