Last Hump Day of 2013 and just 365 days until we do it again.

Went to a Christmas party last night at a neighbor's house. I felt like I was in an urgent care center. Ages ranged from early twenties to late eighties. The talk was all about what medical procedure everyone was having done. Youngest person there just had knee surgery and his leg was in this huge hinged device. One was getting ready to have both knees replaced. Another just had T-cells injected into her lungs. Another had stage 4 cancer and was having chemotherapy. Plus lots of talk about getting plastic surgery. Then the talk moved on to medical insurance. Christy mentioned that she just gotten much better insurance through Obamacare and with her subsidy she would be paying less and then I mentioned that I'm doing the same in about a month. Judging by the reaction by some of the people there you would think that we had taken a gun out and was robbing them.



Just one more event to do for this "joyous" time of the year. Heading up to Christy's mom's place for a meal. We are taking our bikes up with us since there is some very nice bike trails up that way.
