Whats with all the really bad submits lately?

It seems to have gotten much worse over the past couple weeks. I am sitting here amazed that out of all the sites I have reviewed tonight most are of this quality http://www.crotchlesspantie.com/maturelatina/sleeve/

And....that particular person took the time to submit under a few different names and email addys with that exact template (obviously since it was so well thought out and such high quality). Thats not even mentioning all of the redirects and pop up hells and spyware I have had to take care of.

So, is it a summer thing, or just the way things are heading you think????? It was bad before but not quite like this.

And its just wonderful news that all the incest and underage seeming sites from Russia or wherever are doing well enough that they just keep adding more sites to their list with names like DaddysBabes and such.

Sheesh it has been a really really long night

Submits started getting really bad for a me a few months ago.

I'm seeing a lot of submits where people are using a lot of different names and stuff. I catch most of them pretty quickly and just delete all their submits and add all of their domains to my ban list.

By this time next year I'll probably by paid submit only.

Ain't that the truth. WTF is up with that? It pisses me off. I allow more than one submit a day too yet people are using 3-4 or more names and emails. For the past week I had to change to one submit a day and am blocking multiple IP submits so it fucks it up for honest people who want to submit more than one site a day.

I also do not have a daily submit limit so all they are doing is getting themselves’s banned.

I'm also seeing a lot of people stuffing their pages with hidden links which also gets them banned.

I'm doing reviews right now and this morning may be the worse submits that I've ever seen.

I'm seeing a real lot of stuff with really blind links too.

It is actually getting to the point where they are so bad that I'm having a had time finding enough submits to actually list each day.

I finally had to just to give up last night, and start again today. I ended up with hundreds of sites in my queu since I had reworked my LL and I was working through those last night. Out of all of those sites I don't think I am going to have enough by the time I am done for a complete listing. I'm thinking that by the end of summer I am going to have to change something, because it is a phenomenal waste of time.

And I am just a little tiny LL, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have to sift through THAT many submits daily. The ones that are good are really good, and the ones that are bad are over the top bad.

JMO - but these things seem to come in Waves that last about 60 days.

You'll be getting a ton of crappy submits (black list or whatever you want) but by the end of July they will be 2 months due on hosting and the plug gets pulled.

However, you have to find the gems amongst the crap, so I am pretty careful.
ie... I see the ******* LL in the recips, scan that board to find the sumbitters name... if you find them and they are newbies, then I give them a chance.
(GG for recips I place You, Tommys and PK's recips and worthless - meaning if I don't know them, they don't post here, or anywhere- I assume they "think I think" that you listed them)

Check the email addies - been getting a lot from .il lately - BL'd most of those.

Also a couple of really crappy auto submit programs have updated with "New recip" codes - meaning they think you're a TGP.

Summer slow down brings out interesting tricks, by fall, it should be back to normal stuff like page hijacking. LOL

Yep, it seems like the sunshine has brought out a whole new bunch of idiots posing as webmasters who are submitting some of the worst crap I've ever seen!

Luckily I have a large list of good quality regulars but it does tend to make one "more picky than usual" when reviewing, especially for new submitters

I see endless new ways of making blind links and some godawful spam plastered all over the pages or miniature text that can only be read by viewing the source, site meta descriptions which include a bunch of random words (like are used to defeat spam bots for email)... I cannot see how "free cumshot porn, monkey spanner metal packaging" is gonna get good search engine traffic but it does make me laugh (except it wastes hours) -

Hidden links - there's a case in point for me - I had a submission from another link list owner with a bunch of invisible links on the index page... I refused it without giving a reason and got an email back demanding to know the reason why... lol - I just sent him a reply saying "ask me nicely and I'll tell you" - but he didn't reply - hahaha

I can't wait for winter!

This sucks, another one of those the few ruining it for the rest type thing! I build sites with the same quality I would want submitted to my LL and I don't cheat. I have always thought that if you build good sites and people know and trust you the better the listing.

Whew! Well maybe just maybe then there is light at the end of the tunnel. I do have to say though, with this run of really bad submits I have had to learn alot about my computer, and about scripts and of course, having been an American public school brat, world geography. Things I can't say I would ever have really taken the initiative to learn, until I had to spend four hours going through the logs of hijackthis to get rid of nasties.

I think the problem is partly that there is some new auto-submit tools for linklists that spoof IPs and referrer addresses around now. And they appear to be working better than anything else that has come before.

I'm finding quite a few auto-submits that slip through now that I only notice because of slight errors being repeated by multiple people.

Actually, you can tell you link list or TGP is getting popular because you get more & more crappy submits, so maybe it's a good thing?

I make a point of not chasing new submitters for ************** but for some reason in recent months submits have jumped from a steady 50-60 to over 100 per day. I have also been seeing a nice upward trend in sales in each of the last 3 months. Hadn't even thought of the possibility that the increase in sales might be related to submit numbers before now... I wonder if the additional content makes more of a difference to surfers than I imagined.

Now I'm even less sure of the exact reasons why these things are happening!
