Megapornbucks..... MUST READ in case your promoting them.

One tactic Megapornbucks is using to get this on consumers computers is to have a link on their sites, one such example being facialplayground.com, that says click here for a free video. Once clicked, the I-Lookup toolbar takes over the consumer's IE and begins to control where they get to go and what they get to see. Furthermore, when this happens no one involved with gathering the traffic and sending it to the original site gets any revenue because the hijacking takes it to a site completely unrelated to the original site or sign-up page.

In other words, consumers with this adware installed go through a site tour and when they get to the signup page, they get instantly redirected to the signup form of a different processor; a signup page completely unrelated to the site they attempted to sign up at, the affiliate does not get credit for the sale and the consumer does not gain access to the site that they intended to

In a business such as ours, it is practices like this that give all of us a black eye. I stongly suggest anyone doing business in this manner re-think that strategy.

Basically with these methods in place your traffic is being "stolen" through this adaware. Personally I hate scum like this. I hate adaware in general but when it dips out of my money and hard earned traffic makes you think.....

Sad news... buy I wonder - if surfers are beeing redirected to non-previous-product signup page... what ratio will they have ?

I mean I was just about to sign up for nastyanalsluts.com and I got redirected to a signup that has nothing to do with this site... I would'nt join.

Even though they are not on my stats because they only count 2nd page clicks, I do a lot of business with them & I don't really want to pull any links unless I have to.

I posted a concern about them awhile back. Its pretty easy to see that there is something fishy going on... I really wish shponsors didn't control their stats..

Same thing (spyware/adware) happens when you use Platinum Bucks Popups...

You gotta wonder....do the sponsor sites suck sooo bad they are willing to do anything to get a penny outta a surfer?

Quickbuck also auto-installed shit on my computer when I hit the front page of one of their sites. I don't understand why people send traffic to these programs. If they are so willing to fuck over their customers, I'm sure one day if need be they won't have any problems fucking over their webmasters. These sponsors are outright scams; they aren't selling access to paysites - they're paying for traffic to exploit people's computers.

Do you know of any others? Spyware has fried 2 of my computers. They're completely worthless now. As far as I'm concerned they're as bad as viruses.

There is a thread at Newbie Webmasters about this iLookup software, where webmasters are naming sites that install the toolbar when they are reviewing said sites or galleries

According to this thread Gammacash are also promoting it.

I really don't like things that autoinstall.
