Unhappy Why is my AutoGallery SQL Blacklist not working?

And why is JMB (again) not answering my email?

I guess most of you know by now my thread about these nasty gallery re-directers - all these URLs are in my ever growing blacklist under "Domain Names & URLs" - yet every day I get at least 3 or 4 (today 7!) submissions from URLs which ARE in my blacklist! - the bloody blacklist should sort them out, not me!!! I fu@#ing don't find any time to do anything else...

Any idea if there's a fix for AGP Vers. 2.1.1?

Sorry if this gets patronising - it's certainly not meant to be...

George - how are you doing your bans?

http://www.domain.com/gallery1/indexabc.html or domain.com only?

The first one will only ban that specific gallery - whereas the second will ban the entire domain.

Also - are you manually pulling all banned domains out of your queue? Banning them alone not kill off any queued subs.

I manually create a file in notepad every time I review and then add it by hand to my banned domains, as well as doing a search for every domain and email and killing them off too.

Hope this helps |cool|

No worries! Any help is welcomed...
I learned that the hard way before this avalanche started, so my blacklist only contains 'domain.com' - no http, no www (I had once a case where a blacklisted domain slipped in because www.domain.com was blacklisted - next was simple http://domain.com)

These ones were submitted several days after I blacklisted them! Today's are submissions from yesterday/today, the last extensive blacklist update was last Friday... GRRRR!

I do a "whois" on bloody every 'unknown' domain - bloody time consuming that is!

so sorry: Originally posted by Wazza Hope this helps Well meant, but this didn't help at all...

There's no unnecessary spaces somehow getting into your entries?

That had been one of my first thoughts!

I had several listings which I took over from my last script, and these entries for some reason all had a leading blank. So I took them all out (over 80), copied them into Notepad and removed one-by-one the leading blanks - this was Friday last week when I first noticed the blacklist wasn't working - and it didn't change thing!

Question: is there any automated procedure to delete blanks in Notepad (or any other program)?

Doing a search and replace for " " and replacing it with "" until it tells you it can't find any should clear out any spaces. I use editpad as my text/html editor

From what I understand, they don't answer tech support e-mails. Here's a quote from their website:

"Getting Tech Support For Your Software

If you need any assistance with this software, you must use the resources in the JMB Software owners lounge. This is the only way to contact the tech support department. Use the following URL, and the login information you selected when you purchased the software:

http://www.jmbsoft.com/owners/

Important Tech Support Notes:

If you edit the scripts in any way other than described above, you will no longer be eligible for technical support. We absolutely cannot provide support for edited copies of our software.

The only way we provide support for our commercial scripts is through the owners lounge. We do it this way to make sure we are providing support only to those who have paid for the scripts and deserve it. If you post a message at the Freeware Help Board it will be deleted - you must post on the Owners Lounge board. Also, sending a plain e-mail to us will be ignored, you must use the tech support request form in the Owners Lounge.

These methods also help to ensure that we are not wasting our time providing support for illegal copies of our software, and will result in faster responses to legitimate owners questions.

Thank You, and enjoy your new software!"

They used to when I bought the script, and with their board they're stating it "can take over 48 hours for a reply" - and I find this rather urgent, but then it's already over 96 hours since I wrote them... Fu@#ing double password thing [admin 1 / board 2] turnes it always into a real fight to get from one to the other, and my only posting there got a single-phrase-reply which missed the point completely.

Fu@#ing script trouble makes me think more and more that I gonna sell/close my TGPs because I don't get them to work properly due to so much wasted time on badly functioning scripts! - This is already the second TGP management script I wasted my money on just to find that either features don't work, or clever autosubmitters find ways around it's intended functions...

I'm getting really with this and feel like |chainsaw|
