The Next Big Thing
Here is an idea I'd love to see every sponsor capitalize on. Just throwing it out there for feedback
![]() I spent the day organizing all of the POTD and Daily content from my most current sponsors into one big table. Sounds easy right? Not really. Hours spent selecting entries on scripts to get the right urls. Cutting and pasting the information into my browsers. Frustrating, clicking, building. Takes forever. Of course recently I purchased Macromedia Dreamweaver MX and I'm learning all the new functions and I come across a section called "snippits". What this allows you to do is use their already stock code (tables and links) and cut it right into your document. Bingo! Why arent sponsors creating money bars for me? Where are the link tables with my code already in them? Where is my block of code that includes links to all their daily content? Sure, I'm a webmaster. I can build this. I have been forever. But why not do it for the webmaster anyways? It seems simple enough to me. Why not just have a page where display tables are flat out laid out for me, with cut and pastable code for the whole enchilada for me to customize at will. Certainly more simple than gallery buildiers and the like and those are plentiful enough. So, are there any sponsors doing this? If not, the first one to do it gets a new webmaster producing for em! Well, at least one ![]() |

Boogie - I can remember a few sponsors that did (and probably still) do this.
I can also remember us link list owners yelling that the submitters that plastered them all over their free sites ![]() Maybe it is a good idea to build them on your own ![]() |

Boogie, I would love to get more info and maybe a sample from you so that I can offer this to our affiliates. Can you please email me at sales@chilihost.com with a link to a page that you did. I am really keen on giving my webmasters every tool possible to help them make more sales.
Cheers, Luke

Find someone elses table, copy the source code and then search and replace your sponsor code for theirs.
I'm not saying copy other people's work.... I am just saying re-cycle code.

![]() Boogie: One of the things I have learned with Google in the last year or so is to be very careful about using "stock" code. Sponsor full page ads, tables, and other things then to end up being discounted highly on page, especially if they are used in the same format as others. In some cases, I have actually seen Google cache ANOTHER domain and use it as the "cached copy" when I look for it. Also, of course, money bars won't get you listed on GG or Tommy's, as an example. They would have to be things used on sites you list only for yourself and search engines and any other link sites you can find that actually accept it (and few do anymore). Alex |
