The Barcelona Summit (Update 1)

Hi all. I want to inform you today about our new upcoming event in June in BARCELONA.
From 15-17 June, 2009, The Barcelona Summit will take place in ….of course…Barcelona. As I´m sure you´re aware of, one of Europe´s conferencing and party hot-spots.
As we all know, in our industry there are about 15 good shows in the U.S. Both for the B2B market as well as for the webmasters. In Europe unfortunately most of the existing shows cater to domestic markets (i.e. EWT, ProPorn, Sexxxpo). Furthermore, in 2009 both the ProPorn and Sexxxpo shows will not take place for a variety of reasons.
We are launching a bold initiative to organize a truly Pan-European show. Both for the B2B market and for webmasters. Our approach to the market will be highly interactive: we want to know what you think and listen to you on which areas/topics we should focus our attention so that The Summit will be a very useful event for all.
Initial feedback from interviewed webmasters was that they would want a show that covered topics such as:
• Coding
• Scripts (gallery, tube, trading, arrow, etc)
• Web designers
o Graphics
o Logos
o Banners
• S.E.O.
• Expert-to-expert webmaster rendezvous
• Banner & click networks
• Streaming services
• Payment providers
• Rendering services for content
• Programmer company introductions
• Etc.

When our website goes live (about 1 march) there will the possibility to post your own wishes but in the meantime I am all ears on what you might want from the show.
The show itself will be country themed and aimed at bringing participants from the entire EU together as well as selected US and Russian companies/webmasters.
In our initial pre-sales period, which we conducted in a very low-key manner, we were already able to contract country sponsorships from Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, the UK and U.S. All in all a promising beginning. But still quite a few countries to go.
Today is a small kick-off for our marketing campaign with some news in AVN Europe (article on page 12). In the next 5-7 days our website will also go live and in both the on- and offline media you might begin to notice us.
I will be here daily to listen to your feedback and hopefully answer all questions you may have. Of course I will also be posting the latest news and info about the show. And last but not least, telling you about the great party schedule we will have.
