Supposed to get up into the mid 70's today & the work on my house & yard is moving along nicely

No major plans for today - I think I might weight myself & do the usual build, read, build, read & then this little silly "radio" show that we do each week

Two cups of coffee later and I'm still feeling cranky. But it does appear to be a lovely day out there. I may have to open my blind today and allow some light into this cave.

For those of you following the Harrison Ave saga. NOT A SINGLE MOTHERFUCKING PARKING TICKET WAS ISSUED LAST NIGHT! So, I'll be calling the police captain this morning to remind him that, when his deputies drag me to the mental health unit because they found me dancing naked on my neighbor's car singing 'Yellow Brick Road', I did give him a chance to intervene.

Morning everyone

I got talked into doing some consulting work again today so I'll be off doing consulting work today but should be home fairly early from it since it is something really simple or at least it should be really simple.

Backyard is starting to looking naked with just big patches of sand where the deck once was. I still have two sections to finish ripping out and then I have to fix the sprinklers and plant some grass. I already talked to my yard guy so whilst he is doing my front yard he will also do my backyard once there is grass there to do.

Too much to do and not enough hours in the day to do it all.

Angel is suppose to be flying a dwarf in from Los Angeles within the next month. I've been reading up on proper etiquette so as not to insult anyone. From what I've read midget is not acceptable and little person is preferred, dwarf is also ok. I do not know what race he is, not that it makes any difference.

The world sure has gotten small, no pun intended.

Ahhh, it's spring has finally sprung in the high country... 75 and gorgeous here today!

UW - not to encourage you or anything, but I've been where you are with neighbor problems and I have to confess to admiring your tenacity.

I once lived in a place next door to three unruly brats who were left home alone all day while mommy and step-daddy were at work... these yuppy-wannabe geniuses of childbearing couldn't seem to understand why I called the police when I found their offspring throwing firecrackers on my shake-shingle roof on a 102-degree July day in the middle of a severe drought. They voiced their displeasure in front of a cop (rather loudly and with much profanity), who kindly called in the fire chief and had him explain the facts in words of two syllables or less so they got all the details. Things got worse after that...

Five years I lived in that house, and every fam-damily that moved in next door was a shining example of a damned fine argument for forced sterilization.

Those are a pair of ugly little people.

I just called the police captain again to inform him that his officers either did not receive his orders or don't respect him enough to obey. He was not amused. I then immediately called the mayor's office and spoke with the deputy-mayor (aka secretary) and informed him of my situation. I told him that I am beginning to doubt the captains ability to effectively lead his officers. If he can't issue a few parking tickets, how can they fight the ever-increasing drug problem? He said that he would personally speak to the captain and relay my feeling to the mayor.

As a side note, you should know that the mayor, who is currently running for re-election, has been at odds with the GFPD for years and is attempting to dissolve their department to allow the county sheriff to take over. Also, the GFPD had some bad PR a few weeks back when a woman and her thirteen year old daughter went to them in tears asking for protection from her abusive husband who was threatening her life. The husband was a personal friend of the chief of police and she was refused any type of help. She immediately thereafter pulled into a gas station 3 or 4 blocks from the police station. Her husband approached her car and shot her 3 times in the face while his daugher watched from the back seat. Go GFPD!

Sit in your front yard smoking a joint and see how fast they arrest you, beat the hell out of you, and charge you with possession of drugs and also charge you with assault right after they take you to the hospital for your concussion and broken bones. Not that I would have personal experience with anything like this.

I'm such a cocksucker... I just called the building inspector and reported the house across the road for not having a proper 'parking pad'. He agreed that the owner should have provided a legal hardened parking surface before leasing his apartments. He's going to gather the info and work on this over the next couple of days.

That dimwit landlord should have heeded my warning. I told him, "get those stupid croth rocket riding bastards to stop parking in front my goddamned house or I'll be the worse fucking neighbor you'll ever have."

I told my other neighbors, the Toms, about my conversation with house's owner and they said that I'm easily the worst neighbor they've ever had - and I like them.
