Snatching About-To-Expire Domains
Who do you guys use? Who's the best? There's an awesome mainstream domain name about to expire off of an 8 year regsitration that I've just fucking GOT to have.

Whoo! 9/10 the way to buddy plays in "The Christ from Oz"!

Beware! I bought one and it turned out it was banned in google. If you can check it first then cool but be careful. After well over a year this domain I have is still not in google and I havent done anything wrong seo wise.

You sure the domain won't just go into registrar-lock? I know any domain I've owned for over two years they usually give me a 60-90 day lock after it expires so I can retreive it.
Btw I used to own a few pr7's I snatched up, they are now PR2. Google stopped counting the high PR incoming links. |

I'm not worried about PR...I want it for the domain itself. It's a great, short domain name that's currently no DNS no site and due to expire after 8 years. I've bought expired domains, and there's a 60 or 90 redemption period, but since there's not even a DNS entry for this thing I'm pretty confident it won't be renewed. I'm just looking for the best company to go through in order to snatch it the instant it becomes available.

NO! Im not a female - but being a dragon, I do eat them.
|
Id try snapnames - usually pretty good - one important factor is who the current registrar is - some have their own little backorder systems that they kinda give preference to before the hold period is up

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you

Has anyone used the backorder at www.whois.sc? Is it worth using or should I use one of the sites listed earlier in this thread?
There's a couple of domains I've had my eye on for sometime that are going to come due soon. I've never backordered a domain before but I might give it a shot... ![]() Regards, SF |

If I remember correctly whois.sc uses snapnames - just a different interface for their service

Well, the domain I want is currently with network solutions, so I've gone the SnapNames route since they're in bed with NS. Let's hope it works out
