Will this hurt me?

I am redesigning my hub into more of a LL of sorts and I want to change the directory structure for my index page. I have .htaccess which will redirect to my new index and I am wondering if this will hurt me in anyway as far as search engines go?

I think as long as you are redirecting with htaccess 301 you should be fine.. Your current Pr will also transferred to your new index...
I am not 100% sure, but i think thats the case..

TRUE! Be sure to do a 301 and not a 302
