I am getting spammed to death by Vonage :)

It started with the regular mail telling me they were about to go public and saved some shares for customers. They then called me to tell me basically the same thing. Then, and only they can do this, they sent me a voicemail with the same information. And now it's email Each of these methods have only been used once so, I really don't mind. But damn...I have never had anybody spam me so many different ways.

No spam from them here other then getting a refer a friend email offer. I don't have their voice mail turned so they can't spam me there.

I am still waiting for BellSucks to release my number to them with a new estimated date of the 16th of this month but other than that I'm as happy as a pig in shit with Vonage.

LOL you have not got the mailer yet? Last week I got the same thing, bad part for me is my phone is still beeping that I have a message even tho I have deleted the message. They got me with e-mail, voicemail, and a letter in the mail. Then it stopped so Jim you might just have to get the letter then it should stop lol.

BTW Cleo I dont have the VM on either but they still spammed me with one. I got home and was wondering why my phone was beeping even tho I use a reglur machine. I logged on the site and sure enough they put it in the vm anyway.

I got the letter first.
Since I do use the voicemail feature, one time it got stuck. I had a message, deleted it and my phone kept telling me I had voice mail. The only thing that got rid of it was when I got another voicemail and deleted it. You might want to turn on voicemail for a couple of mins and leave yourself a message. Then go delete it and you should be set.

I love Vonage too Cleo. But they are going a little crazy with this ipo spam. It probably is a good investment. Time Warner offers the same phone service. But, they are $5/more and can nickle and dime you to death. They want extra for anything over the standard phone hookup. Voicemail is an extra $5 and call forwarding is an extra few bucks too.

I would be careful with the company and the IPO. My friend who used to work for them, told me the Real Guy who owns the company had issues in the past with some shaddy trading and he is not allowed to play on the market anymore. For them to go public it was a big issue and he had to change his title from owner to something else. I agree the company is most likly going to be the leader in VOIP in the USA and even if it gets bought out by a larger company any stock held in them would prob return well. But I would still be carful.

Earthlink also offers this service which probably explains why Vonage works great over my Comcast cable modem but has issues with my Earthlink DSL so I just leave it on my Comcast service. I'm in one of the states that adds taxes to Vonage's bill so my bill is actually a bit over $27 but that is still real cheap.

I don't talk to many people, I just got it so the kids can talk to their brothers in the cities cheaper.. I went down to the 14.99 plan and am happy with that. I don't have vm turned on either. So far I'm liking it, saving me about 30 bucks a month.
Haven't gotten spammed though lol
