Just a hint to firefox users

I just installed the 1.5.0.4 update.

Everything worked fine as usual, but when I tried to use my bookmarks, everything was gone.

The install log doesn´t display a replacement of the bookmarks.html, but it´s virgin site now and all my bookmarks are gone. At least I have stored an old version on another PC, so it´s not a big problem on my mobile workstation here.

Just wanted to let you know.

strange , i installed it ,no probs at all , bookmarks are still there
are you using the same profile as before

Frank, with Firefox open, try Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > File > Import...Select 'From File' and search in C: Documents and Settings/Your UserName/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/whichever profile you use/bookmarkbackups/
and find the most recent file.
If that doesn't work. Take one of those backups and use it to directly overwrite your empty bookmark.html in your profile folder.

I couldn´t solve it that way. All data (passwords, cookies) still exists. Bookmarks, history and some settings like default homepage are gone. It seems to me the default user was overwritten.
