top list catch 22

I just signed up, I am new at this, please forgive.

Having said that.

How can Top List and Link sites work if you don't have the traffic to begin with?

That seems to be the problem I am having. I need an influx of traffic to get the momentum rolling.

Does this sound right or did I miss something along the way?

I have been at this for almost a year and I thought my site was somewhat succesful till I got stats from some other sites similar to mine.

Chris, one way is to buy traffic, but generic traffic wouldn't do you much good since you're in a niche. (I've never bought traffic so can't speak on that much)

Now that you have your links set up, probably the best way, is to build a few free sites and submit them (or a couple of tgp galleries if you can handle the bandwidth) to sites/lists that cater to your niche. You want them to at least click on a few of your links/banners if they don't join your site, and if they're not interested in feet/shoes, they probably won't.

You can also submit pics to places, that will get you some traffic. Foot fetish is a pretty large niche, you'll have to do some hunting around to find them.

Basically... find places to give away free pics in exchange for traffic.
