Wordpress issues

My Wordpress blog has been working fine for a while now until today. I just wrote a new post and when I published it and viewed the site I clicked on the post heading which usually takes me to the article URL. Instead I go to a 404 page.

I tried clicking on my other posts headings which used to work but am now also directed to a 404 page. Haven't changed anything when all was fine, any ideas?

I think the problem is with your data base

Like T Pat said the problem could be with your database.
Or your .htaccess file could be changed/deleted/whatever

If you can see the posts on the index page it's probably just your .htaccess

I had the same problem with my tags and I rebuild the permalinks. That worked for me. Worth a try.

Checked the .htaccess file, seems fine. What kind of things should I be looking for in my database?

Before you go combing through your database, check to see if everything under Options is current and correct, especially under General and Permalinks.

When I helped Sue set up her blogs her databases kept disapearing, the problem was with her hosting company.

I don't know how to test a database

Issue resolved. Just had to re-install my permalinks?? Don't know why but it's working now!

Damn y'all are getting way to smart here, had this problem solved before I could ride in on my white horse and be the saviour.

Anytime you are having 404 problems on a WP blog...rebuild your permalinks and let it restructure your .htaccess.

Will do Walrus. I do have a question regarding submission to your XXX Index site. I have been submitting new blogs but when I hit the submit button I don't know if the info is sent. The page just reloads with the same info still showing. Is this working properly?

Nope...that script sucks and I can't find a the reason it does this...it just decides it doesn't like some people. PM me your sites and I'll add you manually
