Is this a good SEO plan?
I have a hub that's ready to become a link list but I'm waiting to get a script to help handle submissions, data, etc. I also thought I could manage a link list without a script if it was niche specific. Only submits would be squirting sites. Wouldn't be as many submits as a regular link list so not much to handle manually. All of the inbound links would be to the index page with no outbound links except for a few sponsor links and link trades with other link lists squirting catagory pages. Most of the outbound links would be on the catagory page. Since Google seems to like pages that have inbound links (google thinks it's an important page if many sites link to it), would that help the index page rank well? I know there is a lot more to SEO than this but is this a good theory to start with? Have I stumbled onto a good plan or not?

After playing with SEO strategies a bit with my own LL I've come to the general conclusion that the best strategy is to get and give traffic as best you can. If you plan to send most of your traffic to submits from a category page then send all the traffic you can to that category page. The more traffic you send submitters the better will be your submitters.
![]() Also, I've had faster/easier results with deep linking for non-domain related keywords. Root level linking seems to be less sticky for me on sites where's there's no constant flow of fresh content. ![]()

I noticed that also. I do link dumps, and I have noticed that If I go out and dump a certain link, I will then rank for terms for that page within a day.
I have two sites that are similar one has a lot more text with lots of internal links. Not to many links from other sites, and Google loves it. The other site, a lot of pages, not so much text and alot more link backs and Yahoo loves it. The SERP's are strange. |
