Google AdSense won't ban Adult Domains?
Five weeks after it announced it would bar adult-related domains from its revenue generating AdSense for Domains program, Google rescinded the ban.
According to an internal memo obtained by AVN Online, the search engines about-face followed a tremendous amount of feedback from partners and advertisers."Google is constantly working to improve the experiences of advertisers, usersand AdSense partners and felt this (reversal of an earlier) decision was best for the company and (its) advertisers," the memo read. Although the ban was designed to increase "satisfaction with the AFD network (and) lead to more advertisers...providing users with a better experience and domain owners with improved monetization," Google "determined that continuing to allow adult domains in the program will be beneficial for advertisers and users and our domain partners," the memo stated. " In the coming months, we will continue to improve our policy on the technical implementation of adult domains, but we will continue to allow adult domains in the program for the foreseeable future." According to Google, "adult domains" are those whose name, content, or adevrtising includes any content that refers to or suggests "nudity, partial nudity, sexual imagery / acts, (or) lewd / graphic or profane language." Among other things , AdSense for domains allows "domainers"- those who own protfolios of domains at which websites have not been constructed - to monetize their investments bu hosting at the sites text and image ads served by Google. "Domaining" is a growing revenue model in both mainstream and adult realms. courtesy of AVN Online. |

I'd always thought AdSense didn't allow adult domains in the first place. Guess I've been missing out.

I was wondering how link-o-rama was getting away with it on the front page. Good to know.

I just added a searchbox that is adsense, as far as I know, I use them on a mainstream site, though not with a searchbox and I added this to my existing account. Apparently I get paid something for every click to an adsense advertiser, didn't really read the details.
![]() I'm not eagerly awaiting big checks or anything though, just added it for navigation.

This article is not about using AdSense on pages on your adult domain - its a parking program for domains used to monetize unused domains similar to Sedo etc - and has nothing whatsoever to do with the regular AdSense advertising program
