Good morning!

Started working on my FreeNAS server yesterday but a couple of things were broke like the Plex Server plugin.

Rather than wrestle with it, I said "fuck it" and ordered a QNAP NAS box on-line that was on sale for Cyber Monday. The older I get the more impatient I am becoming. I just want stuff to work.

Just finishing up a three page website for a writer friend of mine and then I am out of main stream work for the moment.

My spirits are up because I lost a couple of pounds last week and my blood pressure returned to my "high normal" level. I need to build on that and lose a pound or two this week too.

Good Day

Well we had family stay an extra day since our weather was 80F yesterday. By tomorrow we should be down to the low 60's again which really does not matter since there is a lot of catching up to do.

Good morning.

I had a relaxing weekend. Worked all day Saturday until 8pm then again Sunday morning before chilling on the coach to football and hockey all day.

Got up at 4:30 this morning to go to the gym with Christy. I'm either going to get in shape or end up dead, whichever comes first.

Been in laptop hell for the last 48 hours or so.... The video chip on my 17 inch 2007 MacBook Pro is going bad. It will run fine for a bit and then I'll start seeing video artifacts on the screen which is then followed by the GUI locking up. It may just be that the thermal paste on the chip has dried up but getting to it involves totally removing the logic board and this laptop can't even be upgraded to run Mavericks so ordered a replacement today.

I bought a used 17 MacBook Pro late model 2011 which is the last year Apple made a 17 inch laptop off of Amazon. Got it for $1500 interest free for one year. Hopefully it won't take that long to get here. Replacement laptop comes with Lion installed so I upgraded my old laptop to Lion this morning so that the migration will go better. I really hate Lion. New laptop will run Mavericks so will be upgrading it right after I migrated my stiff off of this laptop.

Just a day of work planned. Hopefully this laptop won't give too much trouble before the new ones gets here.

Night everyone. Sports teams I watch this weekend one win on Friday. All other games were shit. I did enjoy the Alabama vs Auburn game though. I did catch a HARD buzz before the Chargers game. However, I was fighting a hang over at 11pm at night. LOL

Today has been an insane day of work. Just so much. Working with someone back east and was up first with the baby at 4am. At 5am I was on a call with this guy back east working on getting help with some ms sql stuff for this export.

After that I've just been coding like a madman.

Now just starting to relax a little finally.

Time to have a beer and play a little vid games.
